Distance teaching often involves long sessions in front of a screen. To take breaks and kickstart concentration and engagement, try these energizers with the participants.
Participants get 30 seconds to find an object in the room/building starting with an A, then B and C and so on. If such an object is not found, the penalty is to do two pop-ups (high jumps). Stop the activity before the participants get tired of it.
The leader calls out the names of various sports. The participants freeze in a position that represents performing the sport. Proposals: High jump, diving, discus, soccer/football and gymnastics.
The leader shows pictures of different yoga positions on the screen. The participants try to copy the position and hold it for 10 seconds.
