Instructions for the workshop

The activities can be carried out over one or several days.

• Introduction to human rights. Activity: The new planet (2 hours)
• Energizer: Do as I do
• The history of human rights. Activity: Human rights timeline (2 hours)
• Energizer: Earthquake.
• Realisation of human right. Activity: Analysing the human rights situation (1.5 hours)

After the workshop the participants shall have:

• Obtained knowledge about the history behind and the content of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948).
• Learned about historical events, documents and people who have contributed to the development of the international human rights system.
• Used human rights to to analyse the situation in their country.
